Job description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Software QA Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding project requirements, enhancements, and bug fixes across various platforms in alignment with our product roadmap. Key responsibilities include creating test plans and test scenarios, reviewing them with Business Analysts, System Analysts, Enhancement Leads, Developers, and Project Managers, and developing test cases with clearly defined entry, exit, and acceptance criteria.

The role: Involves executing test cases in the Quality Assurance (QA) environment and performing tests across multiple platforms, including desktops, iPads, and mobile devices. You will be expected to identify and report defects promptly, maintain clear and complete testing documentation, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing high-level test scripts and assisting with issue resolution. Additional responsibilities include creating Test Completion Reports (TCRs) for each release and managing Regression Test Packs for various applications. Flexibility to take on other related tasks as needed is also required.

Required Skills and Experience: To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with at least five years of experience in software testing. You should be familiar with different types of applications, including APIs, Windows, iSeries, and web platforms. A good understanding of how software is developed and tested is important, as well as the ability to create effective test plans and test cases. Experience using tools like LoadRunner, ALM/Octane, and UFT is required, and it’s a bonus if you’ve worked with open-source tools such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, Selenium, Appium, TestNG, Maven, JMeter, or Jira. Strong problem-solving skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to clearly communicate with team members are essential. You should be able to work independently, stay organized, and pay close attention to detail to help deliver high-quality software.
