Role Overview

We are seeking a Purchasing Manager – IC Components to lead strategic sourcing and procurement of integrated circuit (IC) components. The role involves managing a small team, building supplier relationships, and overseeing end-to-end purchasing to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead procurement of IC components, managing supplier relationships and negotiations.
• Mentor and oversee a team of 2 buyers, with potential to expand.
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize cost, quality, and supply reliability.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance; mitigate risks and identify opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and align procurement strategies.
• Manage budgets, purchase orders, and supplier contracts.
• Participate in the commission/bonus scheme, including overriding commission on team purchases.

Requirements / Candidate Profile

• Experience: 5–10+ years in procurement, preferably in IC/electronics components.
• Experience leading and mentoring a small team.
• Supplier negotiation, strategic sourcing, cost optimization, stakeholder management.
• Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
