Job description

• Identify and source materials, components, equipment, and services specifically required for engineering projects (e.g., machine components, raw materials, or complex services).
• Perform technical evaluations of parts and equipment to ensure they comply with specified quality, safety, performance, and engineering standards.
• Collaborate closely with internal engineering and project teams to understand and accurately define material and service requirements, specifications, and project timelines.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from initial purchase request (PR) and competitive quoting/tendering (RFI, RFP) to purchase order (PO) issuance.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve optimal cost savings, favorable commercial terms, and reliable supply.
• Conduct price/cost analysis and explore alternative materials or suppliers to deliver the best value to the business unit.
• Contribute to the definition and implementation of sourcing strategies for assigned technical spend categories.
• Streamline procurement workflows and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes relevant to the procured materials or services.
