Position Summary

As a Purchaser you will be responsible for coordinating and ordering various products, equipment and services, interact with vendors, and prepare reports. You will create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure purchases are of high quality and delivered on time, cost, and budget.

Main Responsibilities
  • Procures material, parts, components, tools, and equipment from approved suppliers and subcontractors. In compliance with the applicable aviation regulations and company procedures.
  • Identify and propose potential suppliers (Local or international) to be reviewed and be subsequently listed as an approved supplier.
  • Expedites parts, services and materials in accordance to the level of urgency within the boundaries of the company policies and related obligations.
  • Source and purchase aircraft consumables for inventory replenishment.
  • Handles administration of invoices and pre-invoices for work orders when applicable.
  • Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network
Minimum Requirements
  • Diploma or equivalent
  • Job relevant vocational training/ technical apprenticeship or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a purchaser preferably in the aviation industry
  • Solid knowledge of purchasing processes and procedures.
  • Good communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with customers and vendors.
  • Good English language skills (spoken and written)
  • Good MS office skills
  • Knowledge in SAP system is a plus.

Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
