Job Description
- Generate Purchase Orders, maintaining the filing system of purchasing records
- Source for vendors and evaluates quotations
- Negotiates and coordinates with suppliers and cross‑functional teams for the best possible price purchases
- Coordinates with other departments internally, on stock availability and delivery schedules and maintains tight inventory control
- Involve in planning, sourcing, and recommending suitable materials, products, goods, and services in accordance with desired purchase conditions, from locals and overseas suppliers and vendors
- Carry out the ad‑hoc assignment as instructed by Management.
Requirements
- Min Diploma in Supply Chain/Purchasing Management or relevant studies
- Proven experience as a purchaser or buyer, preferably in the maritime sector
- Strong negotiation skills
- Good communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with procurement software is a plus.
- Knowledge of shipping will be an advantage
