The Public Relations Director will lead all strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and multinational public relations initiatives for major construction projects. This role requires unique cross-sector experience in construction and international hospitality, proven leadership in press relations, and demonstrated ability to manage multi-country community and media campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement public relations strategies for high-value, cross-border construction projects involving international stakeholders, clients, and government agencies.
- Cultivate and maintain key partnerships with global media outlets, international industry associations, and cross-cultural public sector organizations to promote company activities.
- Spearhead multi-lingual press conferences, crisis management protocols, and reputation management campaigns for large-scale infrastructure development.
- Lead cross-jurisdictional teams on stakeholder consultation processes for overseas developments, utilizing advanced cultural, political, and language expertise.
- Develop and oversee ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) communication frameworks tailored for international construction markets and sustainability standards.
- Advise senior management on sensitive geopolitical issues impacting construction operations, including F&B sector partnerships and government relations in ASEAN and APAC contexts.
- Mentor and upskill local communication teams, introducing global best practices and ensuring alignment with international regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ executive leadership in both construction and international hospitality sectors, with direct experience managing PR for multi-million dollar cross-border projects.
- Track record of orchestrating large-scale public engagement initiatives in diverse cultural environments (ASEAN, Middle East, North America).
- Proficiency in multiple Asian and Western languages (spoken and written); proven history as lead spokesperson with major international media.
- Evidence of published work in top-tier international press or industry journals on construction or hospitality topics.
