Job description

We are seeking a proactive and communicative Public Relations Personnel to support community engagement and manage stakeholder communications for our construction project located beside the HDB housing estate. The role involves maintaining positive relationships with residents, addressing feedback, and ensuring clear, timely updates on construction activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team and nearby residents, community groups, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and disseminate notices, newsletters, and updates regarding construction schedules, noisy works, road diversions, and other potential impacts.
  • Conduct house-to-house engagement and respond promptly to public enquiries, concerns, and feedback.
  • Coordinate dialogue sessions, briefings, and community outreach programmes when necessary.
  • Work with the project team to plan and implement mitigation measures to minimise disturbance to the neighbourhood.
  • Manage the project’s complaint/feedback log and follow up on closure of issues.
  • Support the development of communication materials such as banners, posters, digital updates, and social media information (if applicable).
  • Prepare weekly and monthly PR reports for submission to the client/consultant.
  • Assist in crisis communication in the event of incidents affecting the public.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in public relations, community relations, or stakeholder management is preferred, especially in construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage residents professionally and empathetically.
  • Ability to write clear, concise notices and reports.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to manage challenging public situations.
  • Able to work independently on site and coordinate with multiple project stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to communicate in multiple languages or dialects will be an advantage.
Additional Information
  • Work will be based on-site at Tengah.
  • Some weekend or evening engagements may be required depending on project needs.
