The Role

This is a lucrative freelance, commission‑only role for a Business Development Consultant. The role will be focused entirely on deal‑making and revenue generation, and you’ll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating high‑quality leads, and turning them into signed contracts. Day‑to‑day tasks will include prospecting potential clients, strategic networking, managing your own lead‑gen or outreach campaigns, and taking relationships from 0 to close. The role involves cultivating relationships with a long‑term view of business development, identifying suitable clients whose values and objectives align with ACID’s, and driving the sustainable growth of the consultancy’s clientele across markets of interest (Singapore, SEA, North America, Europe, HK, ANZ). If you have a comms/PR background, or have interest in the space and want to try your hands on the front end of the business cycle, this would be an excellent opportunity for you.

  • Prior experience with B2B sales, partnerships, fundraising, or community‑led growth would be a significant advantage
  • A reasonable grasp of new business development and revenue generation, or a strong desire to learn the ropes and master it
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
  • Impeccable communication skills and a professional demeanor—confident in representing the ACID brand wherever you are
  • Ability to develop meaningful relationships with senior leaders and C‑suites across diverse business backgrounds and cultures
  • An eye for distilling the business needs of prospects quickly and across a variety of settings and industries, and an equal ability to match them with the appropriate strategic or communications solutions and counsel
  • Proven ability to stay on top of regular scheduled reporting and weekly updates while straddling your other professional commitments outside of this role, independently and remotely

Salary Transparency

We believe in salary transparency. While this is a freelance, commission‑only role and earnings depend on your ability to convert leads into signed engagements, as a practical guide a realistic annual earnings range for this role is SGD 15,000 to SGD 36,000, with upside for consistently high performers who close larger retainers or multiple engagements regularly.
