Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and well-organized Public Relations Officer cum Project Administrator to join our site team. The role involves handling public relations matters arising from construction activities and providing full administrative support to ensure the smooth running of site operations.
Responsibilities
Public Relations Duties
- Serve as the main point of contact for public feedback, enquiries, and complaints related to construction activities.
- Address and resolve public concerns promptly, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and communicated effectively.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and the project management team to mitigate potential issues that may impact the public.
- Maintain good relationships with nearby residents, stakeholders, and authorities through proactive communication and engagement.
- Prepare and compile feedback logs, correspondences, and reports for management review.
- Assist in preparing circulars, notices, and public announcements related to construction activities.
- Organize and support community engagement sessions or site briefings when required.
- Monitor and report recurring issues, recommending preventive measures to improve public satisfaction.
Project Administrative Duties
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the site and project team.
- Handle day-to-day office tasks including answering calls, managing stationery and office maintenance.
- Maintain and update filing systems for easy document retrieval and proper record keeping.
- Support the preparation of project correspondence, reports, and minutes of meetings.
- Assist in coordinating logistics for site meetings, visitors, and inspections.
Requirements
- Diploma in Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in a construction or engineering environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English; other languages will be an advantage for community interaction.
- Well‑organized, responsible, and able to multitask effectively in a fast‑paced site environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Able to work independently and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
- Able to start work on short notice preferred.
