Job summary

HDB Housing & Development Board is seeking a Researcher to design and execute studies related to public housing, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to advance housing policy and resident well-being. You will conceptualise proposals, collect data, perform analytics and provide actionable insights.

A background in CS, statistics, maths, psychology or sociology is preferred; strong writing, communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

Relevant background in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Psychology, Sociology or equivalent technical field.
Versatility and ability to conduct independent research and contribute effectively as a team player.
Strong writing skills and ability to communicate complex data analysis in technical and non-technical ways.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with people at all levels.
Advantage if you have programming experience in R, SAS, data visualization, statistical modelling, etc.
Familiarity with data management, relational databases and SQL.

Responsibilities

Conceptualise research proposals and methodology.
Undertake primary and secondary data collection.
Perform data analytics and statistical modelling on data related to public housing.
Provide insights and recommendations to enhance HDB’s mission.
