Roles & Responsibilities

Main Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Public Area Supervisor to be part of the team in Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that our Resort meets the exceptional standards of cleanliness that is expected of our brand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations: Oversee and where necessary, undertake the cleaning and maintenance of public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, meeting rooms, and other common spaces. Such tasks include but are not limited to sanitizing, dusting, cleaning and other related duties.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and guidelines, including internal Resort policies and any statutory regulations.
  • Supply and Inventory Management: Monitor and manage the inventory of cleaning supplies, working with the team to ensure supplies are adequate and minimize wastage.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise, guide and mentor a team of housekeeping staff.
Job Requirements
  • Professional certification in Hospitality / Hotel Management or an equivalent professional qualification in a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a property of similar standing.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
