Job summary

A leading hotel in Singapore is seeking a cleaner to perform general cleaning duties in public areas and various back-of-house locations. Applicants should have primary education and preferably prior experience in hotel work. Basic English communication skills are required. This role involves maintaining clean and safe environments for guests and staff alike.

Qualifications

  • Prior hotel working experience preferred.
  • Able to speak and understand basic English.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general cleaning duties at the hotel's public areas.
  • Ensures rubbish is collected and disposed properly.
  • Maintains working equipment and tools.
  • Reports maintenance issues or pest infestations.
  • Undertakes other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Performs general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping etc. at the hotel’s public areas (include common corridors at the back of house, restaurants, gym, pool area, offices, staff toilets and service areas).
  2. Ensures rubbish /paper waste is collected from the assigned area of work (e.g. offices at back of house) and is disposed in accordance to the standards set by the hotel.
  3. Ensures that the working equipment and tools assigned to perform duties are well maintained at all time.
  4. Reports maintenance issues, odd occurrences, pest infestations to Housekeeping Coordinator /Supervisor for follow up.
  5. Undertakes other duties as and when assigned by the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper.
Education & Work Experience
  1. Primary education or equivalent
  2. Prior hotel working experience preferred
  3. Able to speak and understand basic English
