Job summary

Maplestars Academy is seeking passionate Teaching Specialists to join our growing team, teaching Middle and Upper Primary English and/or Mathematics in small-group settings (max 3 students) with PSLE preparation. Responsibilities include delivering engaging lessons, tailoring instruction, providing feedback, co-creating resources, tracking progress, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Working hours are weekday evenings and weekends at Viio @ Balestier, with a competitive hourly rate

Qualifications

Prior experience teaching Primary 3-6 and PSLE preparation in English and/or Mathematics.
Strong understanding of the Singapore Primary School curriculum and PSLE requirements.
Able to explain concepts clearly and break down challenging questions.
Preferably a degree in Mathematics, English, Education, or related field.
Able to work independently and contribute to curriculum and resource development.
Responsible, patient, and passionate about helping students learn.

Responsibilities

Teach Middle and Upper Primary English and/or Mathematics in small groups (max 3 students).
Conduct engaging and structured lessons tailored to learners' needs.
Support students in foundations, examination skills, and confidence.
Co-create and refine teaching resources, worksheets, and materials.
Provide constructive feedback on progress and areas for improvement.
Track learning and adapt lesson approaches as needed.
Foster a positive, supportive learning environment.
