About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Proxy Operations Engineer to join our team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our proxy infrastructure to ensure secure and efficient internet access, web filtering, and application delivery across the organization. This role requires hands-on experience in network security, proxy servers (such as Blue Coat, Zscaler, or Squid), and a strong understanding of enterprise IT environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain web proxy infrastructure (e.g., Blue Coat, Zscaler, Squid, etc.)
• Configure access policies, authentication mechanisms, and filtering rules
• Monitor proxy performance and availability; troubleshoot issues as needed
• Collaborate with security teams to enforce internet usage policies and protect against web-based threats
• Perform software upgrades, patch management, and regular maintenance of proxy systems
• Support integration with authentication systems (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP, SSO)
• Work with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve connectivity and access issues
• Provide technical documentation and reports on proxy usage and performance
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security requirements

Requirements

Mandatory:

• Singaporean citizen (required for compliance/security clearance purposes)
• Based in Singapore with the ability to work on-site as needed
• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure or network operations
• Hands-on experience with proxy technologies (e.g., Zscaler, Blue Coat, Squid)
• Solid understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TCP/IP, and firewall concepts
• Experience with security and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, MAS TRM)

Desirable

• Familiarity with SIEM tools and log analysis
• Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation
• Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and cloud-based security
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Zscaler Certified Engineer, Blue Coat ProxySG)
