Job summary

GenScript Biotech Corporation is seeking a Research Assistant/Associate in Protein Sciences to support R&D projects and laboratory operations. The role involves protein purification, characterization, data management, and collaboration with Senior Scientists and the R&D department.

Requirements include a Diploma/Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences, hands-on protein production experience, and proficiency with standard assays and documentation. A collaborative, detail-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent.
• General knowledge of and hands-on experience in protein production downstream workflow and protein detection methods (SDS-PAGE, Western blot).
• Experience with microplate reader assays (ELISAs) and protein characterization methods (e.g., binding assays).
• 1+ years in antibody production, research, process development or technical services.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Downstream purification to support R&D projects.
• Protein purification & production using affinity, ion-exchange, size-exclusion techniques.
• Protein characterization via biophysical and biochemical assays.
• Documentation, reporting, and SOP/LIMS updates.
