Job description

JOB SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Basic design of heat, mass balance, PFD, P&ID, process calculation for Water & Wastewater, RO, Demin, Pre-treatment, Biological, chemical, Produced Water Treatment, Desalination, Electro chlorination, Zero liquid discharge, Ammonia / Sulphate removal, Condensate Polishing etc. applications
• Sizing of equipment, vessel, tank and selection of material, instrumentation, control philosophy, cause & effect matrix, HAZOP, IPF, SIL study, IOM manual, etc
• Preparing datasheet for RFQ and review offers from sub-vendor for compliance to technical specification, Ex-d, ISA standards, codes and regulation
• Prioritizing all tendering activities and ensuring all proposals meet tender requirements.
• Managing all backup quotes, proposal writeups, material selection, tender clarification, pre-bid meeting and other tender-related activities
• Understanding tender specification and proposing the most cost-effective design to meet requirements
• Ensuring quotation proposals adhere to customer and industrial requirements
• Working with commercial and cross-functional teams (SCM, Project Management, Process, Mechanical) to support bids with techno-commercial costings and writeups
• Ensuring all costs are captured accurately in the costing file; reviewing costings and technical solutions with Head of Departments
• Identifying potential risks in bids, vendor quotations, estimates, and contract agreements across customers/channels
• Responsible for handing over quotations to the project team for won projects
• Occasional travel to handle tender-related clarifications
• Collecting and archiving documentation regarding offers/orders and recording assumptions and decisions during the tendering process

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor Degree in Chemical / Environmental Engineering or equivalent
• Familiar with international standards, codes and regulations for offshore and onshore projects
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Power Plant Industries
• Meticulous and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
