Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Project Technician/ Engineer with a focus on marine projects. Responsibilities include overseeing all stages from conceptual design to field construction. The ideal candidate should have a relevant ITE qualification and 2-3 years of experience in project management. Strong documentation skills and the ability to work independently are essential. About the job Project Technician/ Engineer (Marine/ East/ MNC)

Responsibilities

  • Involve in all stages of projects and not limited to concept, schematic design, detail design, documentation to constructions.
  • Able to plan, direct and executive Project Activities.
  • Handles overall planning & implementation of projects to ensure timely delivery.
  • Participates in production, service, installation, FAT, SAT, HAT, Field construction, Plant commissioning, Sea Trials and Inspection of supplied products.
  • Review vendors documents and to coordinate works between vendors and different discipline engineers within the organization.
  • Requisition equipment and materials.
  • Perform technical evaluation of installation control and design interface documents of equipment to ensure successful implementation of designs.
  • May act as Technical Consultant in specific areas of expertise.
  • Able to work independently, take initiatives and willing to work overtime and on weekends.
  • Conducts OJT In House Training for Technicians and authorise dealers.
  • Ability to maintain good project documentation and is familiar with ISO documentation requirements such as Job Safety Analysis, Work Method Statement and Permit to Work Application requirements and procedures.
  • Test & verify deliveries in accordance with plans and procedures.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Managers.
