Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Public Relations Officer (PRO) to manage communication and coordination between the project team and the building’s end users during the alteration and addition works for our project. The role involves ensuring that all renovation activities are properly coordinated, user concerns are addressed promptly, and the project progresses smoothly with minimal disruption to occupants and operations.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between the project team, building management, and end users.
- Handle and record all feedback, enquiries, and complaints from occupants or stakeholders.
- Provide timely and professional responses to all public and user concerns.
- Work closely with the project team to plan and coordinate works affecting building users (e.g. noise, access, utilities).
- Assist in scheduling noisy or disruptive works to minimize impact to daily operations.
- Coordinate with representatives for any temporary access restrictions or service shutdowns.
- Conduct daily site walks to observe ongoing works and potential user impact.
- Prepare and submit daily reports on work progress, user complaints, and any issues arising from site activities.
- Escalate critical feedback or incidents to the Project Manager promptly.
- Draft and distribute notices to inform end users of upcoming works, service interruptions, or changes in access routes.
- Support communication materials such as circulars, emails, or posters for public awareness.
- Ensure that all interactions and communications are in line with SPH’s standards and company policy.
- Maintain proper documentation of complaints, responses, and resolution records.
- Uphold a professional image as a representative of the project and company.
- Support the project team in meetings and coordination with client management.
- Perform any other related tasks as required by the Project Manager to ensure smooth execution of the project.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction, building renovation, or facilities management projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle user feedback professionally.
- Good understanding of construction site operations and safety awareness.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Positive attitude, proactive approach, and ability to work independently under tight timelines.
