We are looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial Project Manager with deep expertise in Wealth Management Middle Office, Operations, and a strong Compliance/Controls mindset. This is a high-impact opportunity for a pragmatic visionary to architect and execute the digital future of our wealth management business.
You will be responsible for leading a critical workstream focused on the end-to-end digital transformation of our core client-facing processes. Specifically, you will own the redesign and rationalization of Client Data Capture, Trade Flow, and Suitability & Product Governance. Your primary goal is to design and implement a streamlined, scalable, and control-rich operating model that ensures regulatory compliance, mitigates risk, and enables superior service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Core Workstream Leadership: Lead the transformation of three critical pillars: Client Data Capture (KYC/Onboarding), Trade Flow (Order Management & Execution), and Suitability & Product Governance.
- Develop the business case, project charter, and roadmap for this specific workstream, securing buy-in from senior stakeholders across Business, Operations, Compliance, and Technology.
- Rationalize and re-engineer these processes with a sharp focus on designing and implementing Straight-Through Processing (STP) to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client experience.
- Champion a client-centric and control-focused mindset throughout the transformation, ensuring regulatory requirements are embedded by design.
Regulatory & Controls Expertise
- Apply deep knowledge of wealth management regulations to ensure the new digital processes are fully compliant.
- Embed a robust control framework into the digital client journey, from initial onboarding through to trade execution and ongoing suitability assessments.
- Work closely with Compliance, Risk, and Legal teams to validate process designs and implement effective surveillance mechanisms.
Product & Process Rationalization
- Leverage deep knowledge of complex wealth management products, including Structured Notes, Accumulators, and Decumulators, to design a robust and automated operational lifecycle within the trade flow and suitability workstreams.
- Define the automation strategy by distinguishing between processes that are ripe for automation and those requiring expert judgment, particularly in the nuanced areas of suitability and product screening.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and control metrics for the new operating model.
Technology & Vendor Engagement
- Utilize exposure to vendor solutions (e.g., CRM, KYC platforms, Order Management Systems, Suitability tools) to inform the design of a seamless, integrated technology architecture.
- Collaborate with Technology teams and vendors to select and implement solutions that enable STP and data integrity across the client lifecycle.

Qualifications & Experience
- Must Have: 8+ years of experience in Wealth Management, with a strong background in Middle Office, Operations, or Operations Transformation. Proven, hands-on experience in managing or transforming Client Data Capture (KYC/Onboarding), Trade Flow, and Suitability processes. Deep, practical understanding of complex wealth management products and their associated risks. A strong compliance and controls mindset is non-negotiable. Exceptional project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly Desirable: Strong knowledge of MAS regulations. Familiarity with HKMA and SFC regulations is a significant advantage. Hands-on experience evaluating, selecting, or implementing vendor solutions for wealth management platforms. Experience working in a consulting firm or in an entrepreneurial environment within a large corporation. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
