Consultant’s Role: Owner’s Engineer for Study, Detailed Design, Construction Supervision

PM role: Oversee and direct the entire consultancy services team

PM role duration: Initial 2‑year contract, extendable

Job Description

This is a full‑time role, primarily a leadership position involved in all aspects of the waste treatment plant design and construction. The role entails providing leadership and direction to the whole consultancy team. The Project Director will be the main client‑facing person, expected to liaise and make presentations to government authorities and other stakeholders. The consultancy scope includes feasibility study, preliminary design, detailed design, procurement advice, construction supervision, and commissioning management. The individual is expected to manage overall project progress and budget, foster good relationships with the client, regularly inform the management board on project performance, and meet KPIs assigned by the management board.

Requirements
  • a Professional Engineer/Chartered Engineer registered in his/her country of practice
  • approximately 20 years of relevant engineering experience on similar size and complex projects

It will be added advantage if the individual has:

  • Undertaken a similar role in the last 10 years
  • Good project and programme management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
