Job description

Project Manager with a passion for technology, teamwork, and communication. Do you enjoy motivating your team members to achieve the best outcome for the customer and the company? As a Project Manager at Infineon, you will steer various technology development and technology transfer projects running at foundries within our External Wafer Manufacturing Organization (EWM) and accompany the project life-cycle till qualification to mass production. Job Description
In your new role you will:

  • Manage technology development and technology transfer projects and/ or sub projects with higher complexity, risk, impact, and reach.
  • Initiate, plan, lead, and coordinate technology projects (Hardware) in the field of BCD and RF Technologies, e.g. team setup, resource planning, timeline, work packages, budget planning, controlling of internal resources and the external foundry partners.
  • Coordinate project activities across different sites (e.g. Germany, Singapore, Taiwan, China)
  • Continuously focus on project quality, assess progress, and ensure that goals are met even in the face of challenges (e.g. time-to-market, cost, scope, quality targets).
  • Manage and control the entire project life-cycle and ensure hand-over to sustaining function.
  • Establish trusted relationships and a network with a broad base of internal and external stakeholders and actively manage their interests.


Your Profile

You accept responsibility for common goals and put the team’s results above your own interests. In addition, you remain aware of the big picture even in complex situations and take decisions despite uncertain circumstances. Furthermore, you are personally committed to the customer’s concerns and award them a high priority.

Beyond, you are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A university degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, or related studies combined with a good technical understanding, ideally in the semiconductor process integration or device physics
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional work experience in the field of semiconductor industry and there 5 years of leading projects and project teams
  • In-depth project management knowledge for technology transfer and technology developments in terms of project initiation, planning, and closing including reporting and documentation
  • The ability to understand and structure complex project situations; moderate and manage critical project situations; consolidate and present those to senior management level. • The willingness to take responsibility within Infineon and to travel if necessary to Europe and within Asia.
  • Advanced technical leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and intercultural competencies, excellent understanding of the semiconductor 'environment'. • Ideally an official project management certification (e.g. IPMA) or the willingness to achieve this certification.
  • Excellent communication skills with counterparts global wide in English and Mandarin, German would be a plus.
