Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution and delivery of Steelcase furniture projects from the point of sale through to final customer acceptance.

The ideal candidate will be coordinating on-site activities, managing schedules, and serving as the key day-to-day contact for the client, ensuring our premium Steelcase solutions are integrated flawlessly into the office environment.

This role requires regular onsite support at project locations to ensure successful execution and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the project's scope of works, contract deliverables, and the specific product knowledge required for all Steelcase furniture and systems involved.
  • Conduct detailed site marking, verification, and checking to ensure the space is prepared for installation, aligning with the approved space planning layouts.
  • Create and manage detailed project schedules, focusing on schedule planning for product delivery, installation sequencing, and adherence to the project completion date.
  • Perform schedule checking to monitor product manufacturing and arrival, proactively addressing any potential delays.
  • Ensure coordination with Sales & Sales Support to ensure project deliverables with accuracy.
Coordination & Integration:
  • Act as the primary on-site coordinator for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) services, identifying and sharing furniture integration requirements with relevant contractors to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Ensure the physical installation of furniture aligns with the intended office functionality and aesthetic, solving on-the-spot integration challenges.
Risk Analysis & Management:
  • Continuously analyze risks related to site conditions, schedule adherence, and product installation, escalating critical issues to the Project Manager with proposed solutions.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge to anticipate installation challenges and ensure correct application.
Client Handover & After-Sales Support:
  • Execute a structured handover procedure to the client, including final inspections and demonstrations of system functionality.
  • Secure formal customer acceptance and sign-off upon project completion.
  • Provide after-sales service support, acting as the first point of contact for the customer/end-client to communicate and coordinate adhoc service requests and service calls.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Interior Design, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
