Job summary

A facility management company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects. In this role, you will manage projects from inception to handover, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of project management experience in M&E, strong communication skills, and a degree in a relevant engineering discipline. PMP certification is preferred.

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Engineering discipline.
  • 5–8 years’ project management experience in M&E and building works, preferably in healthcare.
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred.

Role Summary:

Manage Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) and building projects from inception to handover, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage M&E works (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection) and building works.
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities for approvals and compliance.
  • Manage procurement, cost control, and project scheduling using tools like MS Project or Primavera.
  • Communicate and work closely with customers, FM site personnel, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee site works, testing & commissioning, and ensure proper handover documentation.
  • Drive safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in line with healthcare standards.
  • Implement risk management and maintain zero-defect delivery in live hospital environments.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Engineering discipline.
  • 5–8 years’ project management experience in M&E and building works, preferably in healthcare.
  • Skilled in project scheduling and contract administration.
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
