The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of AML Watchlist Management (WLM) and FircoSoft implementation projects across APAC for the client. The role oversees project governance, timeline and effort management, cross-functional coordination, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful deployment of AML/WLM solutions in compliance with regional regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Governance
- Lead full project lifecycle: mobilisation → discovery → design → build → implementation → UAT → cutover.
- Drive structured project governance including RAID management, risk controls, dependency planning, and stakeholder alignment.
- Establish and manage delivery cadence (Steering Committee, PMO reviews, weekly progress updates, dashboards).
Stakeholder & Team Coordination
- Coordinate with client SMEs supporting existing AML/WLM systems.
- Work closely with:
- AML Business Analysts
- Integration Architect
- WLM Product Consultants
- Country Operations Teams
- Facilitate alignment with vendor partners including LexisNexis/Firco.
Regulatory & Compliance Alignment
- Ensure project execution aligns with APAC regulatory requirements (MAS, HKMA, AUSTRAC).
- Support design decisions to meet sanctions screening and financial crime compliance standards.
Scope, Documentation & Quality Assurance
- Manage scope changes, effort baseline, contract alignment, and resource planning.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality documentation (SDS, ICD, mapping sheets, migration plans, test strategy).
- Oversee readiness for list ingestion, enrichment, watchlist governance, and operational workflows.
Requirements
Experience & Domain Expertise
- 10–15 years of experience in AML programme/project delivery, including 5+ years with FircoSoft (FSC/FCC/WLM).
- Strong knowledge of Watchlist Management lifecycle: import, cleanse, merge, enrich, publish.
- Proven experience managing multi-country AML/Sanctions Screening programmes.
Technical & Regulatory Knowledge
- Solid understanding of sanctions screening, FCC processes, and APAC regulatory requirements.
- Track record delivering projects in partnership with OEM vendors such as LexisNexis/Firco.
Soft Skills & Stakeholder Engagement
- Strong communication skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders (CISO, FCC, Compliance, Technology).
- Ability to drive cross-functional alignment and manage diverse regional teams.
