Job summary

A specialist engineering firm in healthcare is seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage mechanical construction works. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of project management experience, particularly in plumbing and gas pipe-fitting. Responsibilities include developing project plans, monitoring timelines, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Experience in MOH projects is advantageous. Job description

We are a specialist engineering company focused on the healthcare sector. As we continue to grow, we invite experienced Project Managers with at least five years of proven experience in managing mechanical works within construction projects to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including work programmes, project schedules, and method statements, to ensure smooth execution from project commencement to completion.
  • Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure on-time completion
  • Oversee all operational, administrative, and technical procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and maintain project cashflow forecasts, cost tracking, and progress reports, and client submission documents, ensuring timely and accurate updates to management and clients.
  • Coordinate and liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, and internal teams to address technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Manage procurement activities, including material and equipment orders, documentation, and submittals.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify work quality, adherence to plans, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Develop and submit safety-related documentation, testing and commissioning plans, and other required technical submissions.
  • Implement and enforce quality control and safety procedures on-site.
  • Prepare and deliver project presentations, meeting minutes, and reports for internal and client meetings.
  • Utilise project management software to track schedules, milestones, and deliverables, and provide regular updates via weekly meetings.
  • Support the Senior Project Manager and Project Director on related project activities as required.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 Years of working experience in construction project management in the areas of plumbing and/or gas pipe-fitting
  • Experience in MOH projects and hospitals would be advantageous
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, materials and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
