Job summary

A logistics management company in Singapore is seeking a candidate to manage the supply chain operations, ensuring efficient flow of products from purchasing to distribution. Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire flow of products from purchasing to distribution.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and monitor stock conditions.
  • Plan and schedule deliveries and optimize transportation routes.
  • Source carriers and negotiate contracts and rates.
  • Monitor and manage logistics budgets and oversee resources.
  • Manage, supervise, and train logistics staff.
  • Identify and resolve transportation and customer complaint issues.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Supply chain oversight: Manage the entire flow of products, from purchasing and warehousing to distribution.
  • Inventory and warehouse management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, monitor stock condition, and ensure efficient use of warehouse space.
  • Transportation and scheduling: Plan and schedule incoming and outgoing deliveries, and optimize transportation routes and logistics.
  • Carrier and supplier relations: Source carriers, negotiate contracts and rates, and build and maintain relationships with suppliers and other partners.
  • Budget and resource management: Monitor and manage logistics budgets, and oversee resources like manpower, internal assets, and external vendors.
  • Team supervision: Manage, supervise, and train logistics staff, including scheduling and performance optimization.
  • Problem-solving and risk management: Identify and resolve issues related to transportation, imports, exports, and customer complaints. Develop risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions.
  • Process improvement: Analyze logistics operations to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
  • Compliance and quality: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality control standards and specifications.
