Job summary

A leading marine project firm in Singapore is looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the architectural and outfitting aspects of complex marine vessel projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of project management experience within the marine and offshore industry, strong knowledge of quality and safety systems, and excellent communication and leadership skills. This position ensures timely project completion, adherence to budget, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the marine and offshore industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Management Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Review and develop project scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Liaise with the Purchasing department to procure materials and equipment.
  • Monitor daily work progress and provide technical guidance.
  • Prepare and submit project reports, including progress updates.
  • Implement and maintain Quality Management and Safety Systems.

Project Manager - Marine Architectural & Outfitting

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage the architectural and outfitting aspects of a complex marine vessel project, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our client

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Planning and Execution
    • Review and develop project scope, timelines, and budgets
    • Develop and implement a detailed project plan, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management
    • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met
  2. Procurement and Logistics
    • Liaise with the Purchasing department to procure materials and equipment
    • Oversee receipt, inspection, and storage of materials and equipment
    • Ensure compliance with quality and quantity requirements
  3. Site Management
    • Monitor daily work progress, man-hour usage, and material consumption
    • Provide technical guidance and support to supervisors and engineers
    • Ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures
  4. Reporting and Documentation
    • Prepare and submit project reports, including progress updates, material usage, and claims
    • Validate and certify progress claims submitted by contractors
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation
  5. Quality and Safety
    • Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Management Systems
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies
    • Participate in management review meetings and safety committees
Requirements
  • Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the marine and offshore industry
  • Strong knowledge of QMS and OHS Management Systems
  • Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
