We are seeking for motivated Project Engineers to lead the planning, execution, and technical oversight of construction works. Acting as a bridge between technical teams and project management, they ensure that engineering work is aligned with project goals, schedules, and quality standards.
Role Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily site operations to ensure project progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Oversee and manage civil and building construction projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure works are executed according to drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports and schedules.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks or delays, and propose solutions to maintain timelines.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure proactive measures are in place to prevent accidents and incidents on-site.
- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, authority submissions, and project documentation.
- Supervise and support supervisors, and workers in day-to-day activities.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee lifting operations, ensuring all activities comply with MOM and BCA regulations.
- Provide guidance and direction to lifting supervisors and rigging teams to ensure safe practices.
- Perform site inspections and ensure quality control procedures are followed.
- Prepare method statements, lifting plans, and risk assessments where required.
Role Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB), or qualifications accepted by the Commissioner of Building Control (BCA) for registration as Resident Engineer.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant local experience in civil and building construction projects.
- Minimum 5 years of site experience with direct exposure to lifting operations.
- Able to take on role as Lifting Engineer, overseeing the activities of multiple lifting supervisors on site.
- Possession of Appointed Person – Lifting Operations Course certification is an advantage, but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety, lifting regulations, and construction best practices.
- Strong technical knowledge of civil and building construction practices and standards.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
