Job description
Project Engineer | Up to $4k | 5 Days | Security System | Jurong East
  • Salary Range: $3,200 - $4,000
  • Working Days: 5 days, Monday to Friday
  • Working Hours: 8.30am to 5.30pm
  • Location: Jurong East

This role’s responsibility is to supervise, execute, and coordinate project activities together with a group of Engineers and Technicians to achieve successful project completion. The Project Engineer will monitor and control the project to stay on schedule, within the budgeted cost, and meet quality standards. They will work closely with consultants/owners to ensure project delivery according to requirements and will also perform system programming and troubleshooting during project implementation.

Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Design
  • Collaborate with sales staff to understand the sales order and client’s security needs.
  • Confirm and understand client security requirements.
  • Reconfirm security design and solutions, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection and other security systems before executing the order.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Manage contractors’ allocation and procurement of materials with the Project Manager.
2. System Installation and Integration
  • Oversee installation of security systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Integrate various security systems.
  • Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality.
3. Technical Support
  • Address technical and malfunction issues of the system during the handover stage.
  • Provide technical information to Service and Operations Team during handover.
4. Documentation and Reporting
  • Prepare and maintain detailed and accurate documentation of assigned projects, including design plans and installation records.
5. Client Communication and Training
  • Assist with system training sessions for clients or end‑users on system operations and best practices.
  • Prepare system training slides for internal and external training.
6. Compliance and Safety
  • Ensure all security systems comply with the relevant regulations and standards.
  • Implement safety protocols during installation and maintenance activities.
  • Stay up to date on the latest advancements in security technology and industry trends.
7. Team Coordination and Management
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including subcontractors, vendors and internal teams.
  • Manage and monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Liaise with suppliers on equipment models and quotations.
8. Quality Assurance
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure systems meet performance standards.
  • Implement best practices for security system installation and maintenance.
  • Adhere to safety and health procedures and rules documented in ISO 45001.
Requirements:
  • Possess a Degree/Diploma in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in security system projects (e.g., CCTV, access control, intrusion detection).
  • Proven experience in project coordination, site supervision, and working with contractors.
