Job summary

A leading marine engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee installations and engineering of marine fire safety systems. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Strong technical skills in AutoCAD, project management abilities, and knowledge of marine regulations are essential. You will be the main contact for projects, ensuring compliance with international safety standards.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
  • Over see installation and engineering of marine fire safety systems.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources from start to finish.
  • Serve as the main technical contact for clients, suppliers, and classification societies (like ABS, DNV).
  • Ensure all designs and installations meet strict international safety standards (SOLAS, IMO).
  • Support system testing, commissioning, and installation at shipyards (some travel required).
  • Prepare and approve technical documents, drawings, and manuals.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in project engineering, preferably in marine, offshore, or fire protection.
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Direct experience with marine firefighting systems.
  • Knowledge of marine industry rules and regulations.
