Job summary

A construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to oversee M&E works. The ideal candidate should have a diploma or degree in mechanical/electrical engineering and at least 3 years of local experience. Responsibilities include coordinating M&E works, liaising with consultants, and managing documentation. Knowledge of AutoCAD and strong communication skills are essential. Immediate availability is preferred.

Job Description
  1. Local experience in mechanical and electrical works.
  2. Coordinate and oversee all M&E works to ensure timely completion, compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements and alignment with the project timeline.
  3. Liaise with consultants and other trades to resolve any issues or challenges during the project.
  4. Manage M&E-related project documentation, including progress reports, submittals, and quality checklists.
  5. Site coordination meetings and provide detailed coordination with subcontractors.
  6. Able to prepare the quotation with pricing knowledge for tender.
  7. Preparing the quantity take off for the project and tender.
  8. Review M&E plans and prepare quantity needs. Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers.
  9. Preparing M&E shop drawing.
  10. Vet through the contract documents upon receive the confirmation.
  11. Preparing the running bills and submission to clients. Preparing the job cost report.
  12. Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly.
  13. Assist in commercial input including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team.
Requirements
  1. Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  2. At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field at Singapore is required for this position.
  3. Good written communication skills
  4. Able to use AutoCAD 2D and Microsoft Office
  5. Able to work independently, multi-task hardworking
