A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to manage engineering projects from initiation to completion. You will ensure timely delivery, quality assurance, and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in engineering and at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the construction or oil and gas sector. Local travelling is required for site projects.

Job Overview

Our Project Engineer (Electrical, Instrument and Control) position requires a skilled and motivated individual to execute project and instrumentation and control activities based on the project needs. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality assurance, and alignment with client expectations.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma or equivalent in engineering (Electrical, Instrumentation or related field).

Experience: Proven experience in managing engineering projects, preferably in construction, process engineering, oil and gas. Must have minimum 3 to 5 years of work experience as Project Engineer.

Technical Knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong knowledge of project management principles and tools, and Singapore's regulatory and safety standards.

Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and collaboration capabilities with internal and external multi-disciplinary teams.

Work Style: Highly motivated and proactive with excellent problem-solving skills. Adaptive to management changes & approaches, while maintaining a positive attitude in challenging work environments. Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and project plans.
  • Oversee and manage project site activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control measures.
  • Coordinate with Licensed Electrical Workers (LEWs) to ensure all electrical works meet regulatory standards and project specifications.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
  • Perform engineering calculations and design reviews as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards throughout the project life cycle.
