Overview

We are partnering with a leading renewable energy company that specializes in solar and other sustainable energy solutions across multiple markets in the Asia-Pacific region. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a Electrical Project Engineer to join their Engineering & Construction team. This role will focus on design, coordination, and project execution for solar energy projects, ensuring seamless collaboration with suppliers, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop single-line diagrams and review electrical design specifications for solar projects.
• Work closely with suppliers on switchboards and PV mounting structures, ensuring compliance with design requirements.
• Coordinate with Professional Engineers (PEs), Licensed Electrical Workers (LEWs), and Building LEWs (BLEWs) to meet industry standards.
• Manage procurement, oversee Testing & Commissioning (T&C) documentation, and ensure smooth handover to the asset operations team.
• Utilize SAP for project-related operations.
• Review and finalize structural drawings and track submission requirements.
• Support ad-hoc engineering tasks, including layout drawings and technical amendments.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or other electrical design software
• Familiarity with SAP for payment processing and project tracking preferred
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to negotiate technical requirements.
• Willing to attend site visits and work flexible hours when needed.
• Ability to build strong relationships with contractors and suppliers.
