Job summary

An established Electrical and Mechanical Contractor in Singapore is seeking a Project Engineer to supervise and coordinate electrical installation works. The role involves site supervision, collaboration with clients, and participation in project planning. Candidates should have a diploma in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Responsibilities include conducting inspections and supporting tender processes. Attractive compensation with allowances is offered.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate Electrical Installation works.
  • Liaise with Clients, Consultants, and Sub-Contractors.
  • Conduct Site Supervision, Inspection, and Testing of Electrical Systems.
  • Support Tender Submissions, Cost Estimation, and Documentation.
  • Participate in Project Planning and Resource Allocation.

Job description
Good earning potential with Basic Salary + Allowances + AWS + Variable Bonus (very high!)
Exposure to a mix of Commercial and Government construction projects
Hands-on site experience with support from experienced seniors
Location: Site-based (company provides transport provided to and from nearest MRT station to project site)
Hours: Mon–Fri, 8.30AM–5PM | Sat, 8.30AM–1PM
Basic Salary:
  • Project Engineer: $2,800 – $3,800 (depending on Qualification and Experience)
  • Senior Project Engineer: Up to $4,500 (commensurate with Experience)
  • Project Manager: Up to $7,000 (must have M&E Construction background)

Bonus: AWS + VB

About the Role

Join an established Electrical and Mechanical Contractor handling Construction (ground-up) projects. The company takes on a mix of Private and Government projects and functions as either Main‑ or Sub‑Contractor depending on the scope.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate Electrical Installation works for Construction projects, ensuring compliance with Design, Safety, and Schedule
  • Liaise with Clients, Consultants, and other Sub‑Contractors to manage progress and resolve technical issues
  • Conduct Site Supervision, Inspection, and Testing of Electrical Systems (Power, Lighting, Control)
  • Support Tender Submissions, Cost Estimation, and Documentation for ongoing and new projects
  • Work with Suppliers and Contractors on Materials Procurement, Specifications, and Delivery timelines
  • Participate in Project Planning, Resource Allocation, and Progress Tracking to ensure timely delivery
  • Prepare and review Shop Drawings, coordinating with Main Contractors and Consultants to incorporate design changes where necessary
Requirements
  • NITEC with min 1 year experience, or Diploma and above in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 0–5 years of experience in site‑based Electrical Project Engineering within Construction projects
  • Able to coordinate multiple stakeholders (Main Con, Consultants, Sub‑cons) and handle site‑based challenges independently
  • Strong sense of responsibility and willingness to work on-site when required
