Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee assigned projects
- Requisition necessary resources for the projects such as labour, materials, equipment and others
- Plan and coordinate timely delivery of materials / resources, and minimize wastage of materials and equipment
- Monitor the progress and performance of sub-contractors
- Perform project management to ensure progress is in accordance with the schedule, and take corrective actions when deviations occur
- Liaise with customers, consultants, clerks-of-work and statutory authorities on progress of work, acceptance of work, approval of plans, issues and other relevant matters
- Coordinate with Purchasing Department on the delivery of purchased items for the project
- Ensure proper hand over of completed project to the customer
- Handle contract administration, including claims, disputes, variations, and final accounts
- Provide on-job-training to new project staff
- Assign and supervise subcontractors' work
- Ensure safety practices are followed
- Solve all work co-ordination or technical problems at site
- Carry out inspections of incoming materials and equipment for the projects at the work site
- Conduct quality checks on work done by workers
- Arrange for overtime work if necessary
- Raise non-conformance product report for nonconforming products
- Conduct Project Planning
- Prepare and manage shop drawings
- Prepare Material Requisition
- Monitor and control on-site material stock
- Recommend and implement corrective method for Non Conformance Performance
- Prepare Quality Plan
- Ensure all site execution is in accordance with valid approved drawings, Architect Instructions, Engineer Instructions, or Written Instructions from client / main contractor
- Carried out any additional assignment as directed by the Senior Manager, Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, or Diploma in Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and resolve them in a timely manner
- A reliable team player with a mature personality, possessing strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to read, interpret, and apply technical information effectively
- Proficient in gathering and analysing data
