Job summary

A leading construction company in Singapore is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team for the Terminal 5 Construction at Changi Airport. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil & Structural Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience in the civil construction field. Responsibilities include assisting the project manager, planning and scheduling projects, managing costs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This position offers a salary range of $3,000–$4,000 along with additional bonuses and incentives.

  • Must commit to at least 2 full Saturdays per month.

Project Engineer (Civil & Structural Trade)

Working Hours: 6 Days alternate Saturday off, 8:45 am – 6:00 pm

Location: Project Location at Changi Airport – Terminal 5 Construction

Salary: $3,000–$4,000 + AWS + Variable Bonus + Project Incentive

Job Specifications / Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil & Structural Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of Civil & Structural trade experience in the civil construction industry.
  • Must be able to commit to at least 2 full Saturdays per month, with alternate Saturday off.
Responsibilities / Duties
  • Assist Project Manager in site supervision.
  • Responsible for planning, scheduling, forecasting, and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects.
  • Manage and plan construction projects.
  • Assist in project tendering, budgeting within an estimated cost.
  • Control material and labour costs.
  • Coordinate and check engineering deliverables.
  • Attend site meetings, inspections and monitor project progress.
  • Liaise and coordinate with all parties involved in the projects such as consultants, main contractors, sub‑contractors, suppliers, local authorities, environmental agencies and federal entities to ensure successful implementation.
  • Prepare monthly project status reports and change orders.
  • Manage the daily operation of project execution.
  • Educate juniors with relevant construction information.
  • Advise workers on construction processes and address their concerns.
  • Resolve construction problems efficiently.
  • Act as quality control and assurance to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Ensure that all construction safety rules and regulations are observed.
  • Obtain construction materials and verify them.
  • Schedule daily construction work.
  • Lay down preferred construction methods.
  • Ensure that the project starts on time and ends within the estimated duration.
  • Handle ad‑hoc assignments.
