Design and Planning

• Design HVAC and mechanical ventilation systems for buildings based on project requirements and industry standards.
• Perform load calculations, ductwork design, and equipment selection for air conditioning and ventilation systems.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and layouts using CAD software.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Assess energy efficiency and recommend improvements for sustainable HVAC solutions.

Installation and Project Management

• Oversee the installation and commissioning of HVAC and mechanical ventilation systems.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring quality control, timely completion, and adherence to budget constraints.
• Conduct site inspections to verify proper system installation and compliance with design specifications.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• Develop preventive maintenance programs for HVAC and mechanical ventilation systems.
• Diagnose system malfunctions and recommend corrective actions for performance optimization.
• Analyze system data, troubleshoot faults, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with refrigerant handling regulations and environmental policies.

Compliance and Safety

• Ensure that all HVAC systems meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures for HVAC and ventilation systems.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in HVAC technology, industry trends, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certification in HVAC systems (e.g., ASHRAE, LEED, or equivalent) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical ventilation principles.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, CFD).
• Experience with building automation systems and energy-efficient HVAC solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
