Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Project Coordinator to assist in managing project progress and ensuring timely delivery of work. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of four years of experience in the marine/offshore industry. Responsibilities include coordinating efforts among stakeholders, conducting meetings, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD is preferred.

  • Proficiency in English required.
  • Experience in supervisory or project management roles.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Manager in project progress management.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders for contractual commitments.
  • Conduct meetings and record minutes.
  • Submit engineering documents and coordinate findings.
  • Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests as Test Director.
  • Organize shipment and logistics for product delivery.
  • Identify potential risk exposure to management.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in managing and monitoring the project progress to meet contractual requirements and timely delivery of committed work-scope within agreed schedule
  • Coordinate effort from internal stakeholders and ensure effective delivery of contractual commitments.
  • Attend to daily tasks relating to project work of:-
  1. Conduct meetings with clients, external consultants, internal stakeholders from various disciplines, record meeting minutes.
  2. Prompt submission of documents (Engineering Design, Project Execution Plan, Schedule Progress Reports, Work Procedures, Derived Results, etc…) to clients and coordinate with internal stakeholders to address findings from these submittals.
  3. Conduct Factory Acceptance Test as “Test Director”, working with internal subject Matter Expert (Test Commander) to explain the test process, demonstrate test performance with record of results.
  4. Lead and organise shipment / logistic work and ensure product is delivered according to contractual obligation.
  • Identify and alert higher management of potential risk exposure;

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Minimum four (4) years of working experience from marine and offshore / heavy equipment industry / Process industries.
  • Computer proficiency in MS – Office Suites - Project / Excel / MS Word / PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat & AutoCad an added advantage.
  • Experience in supervisory and management or projects, people, work processes.
