Job description

The Project Engineer will play a key role in supporting the sales team, ensuring successful project execution, and providing technical expertise related to piping, modular fastening systems, and equipment.

This role involves client interaction, managing documentation, developing Material Take-Off (MTO) from General Arrangement (GA) drawings (CAD or PDF), and providing on-site training and supervision when needed.

Responsibilities
Technical Support
  • Assist the sales team with product specifications and technical clarifications for piping, modular fastening systems, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with sales to tailor solutions aligned with customer requirements.
Develop Material Take-Off (MTO) from GA Drawings
  • Extract and prepare accurate MTOs from GA drawings (CAD/PDF).
  • Ensure materials are correctly specified for tender submission and purchase after project award.
Client Team Training and Supervision
  • Conduct training for client project teams on proper installation of piping and modular fastening systems.
  • Provide on-site supervision and guidance to ensure installations meet technical standards.
Participation in Project Discussions
  • Attend project meetings to provide technical insights and support project execution.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
Quotations for Ad-hoc Items
  • Prepare and submit quotations for ad-hoc items requested by clients or project teams.
Documentation and Submission
  • Prepare and submit technical documentation, including Installation and Logistics Support (ILS), project reports, and progress updates.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with project timelines and client specifications.
Miscellaneous Tasks
  • Assist with other project-related tasks or administrative duties, such as coordinating with suppliers, following up on material deliveries, or updating project documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of project engineering experience, preferably in marine/offshore or oil & gas.
  • Experience with piping systems, modular fastening systems, or related technologies is preferred.
  • Familiarity with GA drawings and MTO processes is a plus.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, and 3D software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
