Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align on project requirements.
Technical Oversight
- Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications and contracts.
- Provide engineering solutions to technical challenges and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Oversee procurement and ensure materials meet project specifications.
Take-Off and Budget Management
- Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BQ) and cost estimates for projects.
- Conduct quantity take-offs from technical drawings and specifications.
- Monitor project costs, manage budgets and implement cost control measures to minimize overruns.
Tendering Assistance
- Support the tendering process by preparing bid documents, reviewing contractor bids, and evaluating technical and financial submissions.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements.
- Work closely with procurement teams to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
Project Execution
- Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgets.
- Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs through appropriate processes.
- Conduct site visits to oversee construction, installations, or implementations as required.
Communication & Reporting
- Act as the point of contact between clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports, technical updates, and cost analyses.
- Address and resolve project-related issues and conflicts.
Risk Management
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Ensure safety protocols and compliance with environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Preferable 3 years experience in project management or engineering roles in oil and gas industry. Candidate w/o relevant experience and willing to learn is welcome to apply.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, budget control, and tendering processes.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), Excel Worksheet, Word Document, Power Point Presentation, AutoCAD, cost estimation tools and BQ preparation software.
- Experience in tender evaluation and contract management.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Wiling to work at project sites and may require extended hours to meet deadlines.
