Sarens is globally recognised as a leader in heavy lifting and engineered transport. We are expanding our team and are looking for a Project Engineer with prior experience in the Heavy‑Lifting / Heavy Transport industry.

About the Role

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for determining technical solutions, developing engineering documentation, performing calculations, and providing expert technical support throughout project execution. You will play a key role in ensuring that all operations are technically sound, safe, and executed according to Sarens’ global SHEQ standards.

Key Responsibilities
Engineering
  • Act as the technical Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for assigned projects.
  • Study and analyse all technical documentation from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify missing information, highlight concerns, and make justified assumptions to propose optimal technical solutions.
  • After receiving conceptual approval from the Functional Manager, consult equipment documentation to assign the proper equipment.
  • Produce required engineering documents: drawings, method statements, lifting calculations, configurations, and supporting documentation.
  • Brief, instruct, and follow up with engineering team members supporting the project.
  • Liaise with peers within the engineering team to enhance quality, efficiency, and accuracy of deliverables.
  • Attend technical meetings, conduct site inspections, and participate in on‑site activities as required.
  • Provide technical support before and during project execution to ensure proper implementation of the engineered solution.
Training & Development
  • Share technical knowledge with peers.
  • Participate actively in trainings and maintain up‑to‑date technical competencies.
