Job summary

WEE SENG MARINE & ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Project Engineer to work in the marine service line, in the workshop and on vessels.

You will ensure accurate results reports and deliverables, review drawings and specs, and coordinate with ship owners, superintendents, vendors, designers, class societies, and flag authorities. The role requires at least 5 years in the marine industry, strong communication, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Min 5 years experience in the marine industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Able to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Work in workshop and on vessels and coordinate projects.
• Communicate with ship owners and superintendents.
• Manage time and work independently to meet deadlines.
• Attend and manage dealings with vendors, designers, classification societies, and flag authorities on engineering issues.
• Review technical specifications and drawings with designer, owner, class, and customer requirements.
• Perform other duties assigned by superiors and implement cost-saving measures.
• Lead and manage project operations, scheduling, and specifications.

Job description

Project Engineer will be under Marine service line, the appropriate quality check, the compilation of accurate and customized results reports and other deliverables.

• 1. Working in workshop and vessels.
• 2. Good communication skills with Ship Owners and Superintends.
• 3. Good time Management and work Independently.
• 4. Attend and manage dealing with vendors, designers, classification, and flag statutory on engineering issues
• 5. Reviewing technical specification and drawings from designer meeting owner, class, and customer requirements
• 6. To perform any other duties & Responsibilities assigned by superiors from time to time.
• 7. Ability to demonstrate and implement cost -saving measures.
• 8. Ability to lead to manage project operations, schedule and specifications.

Requirements

• Min 5 Years experience as Marine Industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
• Proficient in AutoCAD application
• Able to work OT.
• Excellent coordination skills.
• Able to working at Height.
