Job summary

Certis in Singapore is seeking an engineer to manage security-system projects, including installation, testing and commissioning. You will coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors and clients to ensure on-time delivery within budget. Strong project management and IP-network knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering related or IT Computer Science / networking related with 2 years of working experience.
• Excellent project and people management skills.
• Hands-on project execution and management experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Good working knowledge on IP data networks.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects in security systems (CCTV, IDS, access control, intercom, etc.).
• Implement installation, testing and commissioning per customer requirements within budget and schedule.
• Attend site meetings to monitor project status.
• Liaise with Architects/Consultants/Main Contractors/Interior Designers to report progress and compliance.
• Procure materials and deliver to site on time within budget.
• Provide training to customers on operating the installed systems.
• Ensure subcontractors work aligns with approved drawings and instructions.
• Update shop drawings and diagrams before handing over to Maintenance.
• Respond to customer feedback/complaints and take corrective/preventive actions.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on progress and issues.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the management of assigned projects in security systems such as CCTV Surveillance System, Intrusion Detection System, Electronics Access Control System, Audio/Video Intercom System, etc.
• Responsible for the implementation of installation, testing and commissioning of the security systems as per customer requirements within budget and delivery schedule commitments.
• Attend site meetings to monitor status of projects.
• To liaise with Architects, Consultants, Main Contractors, Interior Designers, etc to provide accurate feedback on the progress of works, technical compliance to specifications and variation claims.
• Procurement of materials and delivery to site in a timely manner in accordance to site progress and within project’s budget.
• Conduct detailed training to customers on the operational use of the installed, security systems.
• Ensure subcontractors on-site perform the work in accordance with the approved drawings and instructions as appropriate.
• Ensure shop drawings, floor plan drawings and single line diagrams are correctly updated for each project before handing over to Maintenance Department.
• Respond to and manage customer feedback/complaints and take corrective/preventive action.
• Provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders on progress reports, forecasts, technical problems encountered, etc.
