Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for all construction project phases.
  • Oversee day-to-day project operations and ensure timely completion.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams (engineers, architects, consultants, contractors).
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets and cost control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and risk management protocols.
  • Provide progress reports, forecasts, and executive briefs to upper management.

Position Summary

The Project Director is responsible for leading, planning, and executing large-scale building construction projects from inception to completion. This role oversees project strategy, resources, budgeting, stakeholder communication, timelines, safety compliance, and quality standards to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership & Strategy
    • Provide strategic leadership and direction for all construction project phases.
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocation frameworks.
    • Monitor project progress and performance against milestones and KPIs.
  • Project Execution & Management
    • Oversee day-to-day project operations and ensure timely completion.
    • Manage design coordination, tendering, procurement, and site mobilization.
    • Review and approve project budgets, BOQs, contracts, and variations.
    • Ensure adherence to building regulations, codes, and company standards.
  • Stakeholder & Team Coordination
    • Lead and manage cross-functional teams (engineers, architects, consultants, contractors).
    • Conduct project meetings with consultants, subcontractors, and client representatives.
    • Maintain strong communication channels with clients and stakeholders.
  • Cost & Resource Management
    • Prepare and monitor project budgets and cost control measures.
    • Approve procurement requests and evaluate quotations/contracts.
    • Analyze project risks and implement corrective measures.
  • Quality, Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and risk management protocols.
    • Implement quality control procedures and construction best practices.
    • Conduct periodic site inspections and audits.
  • Reporting & Documentation
    • Provide progress reports, forecasts, and executive briefs to upper management.
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and records.
Qualifications & Experience
