The Project Management Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple construction and engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality compliance. The role requires managing project teams, developing strategic project plans, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and implementing effective project control systems to achieve organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all phases of construction or engineering projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop project plans including scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk management.
- Lead project teams to achieve milestones and ensure adherence to client and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress, quality, and cost performance using established project management tools.
- Conduct project meetings, review reports, and address any technical or operational issues promptly.
- Evaluate project risks and implement preventive and corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with BCA, WSH, and other relevant statutory and safety requirements.
- Manage procurement schedules, tender processes, and cost control measures.
- Provide regular project progress reports and financial updates to senior management.
- Mentor project engineers and site supervisors, fostering continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Support business development activities, including tender preparation and client engagement.
Job Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Engineering, or Project Management.
- Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in project management within the construction or engineering industry.
- Strong knowledge of BCA standards, LTA specifications, and WSH regulations in Singapore.
- Proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and multiple concurrent projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, Primavera, and other project planning tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Familiar with tendering, costing, and contract administration (including PSSCOC).
- WSH Safety Management Course for Project Managers (SMC) certification preferred.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification (advantage).
- Possession of Class 3 Driving Licence (preferred).
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position (office and site-based).
- Working hours: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Monday to Saturday) or as per project schedule.
- Work location: Various project sites across Singapore.
- May require extended hours during project milestones or client meetings.
