Job description
Job Responsibilities
  • Develop engineering audit strategies and annual audit plans; allocate audit resources in line with the companys investment strategy to cover domestic and overseas construction projects. Ensure audits are precise and efficient, with a strong focus on settlement cost reductions and supplier compliance negotiations.

  • Lead end-to-end audits of domestic and overseas construction projects, focusing on high-risk areas such as procurement, contracts, payments, settlements, and claims. Conduct financial, compliance, and risk management audits. Independently complete settlement audits for key projects, drive the realization of settlement cost reductions, and quantify cost‑saving outcomes.

  • Assess the effectiveness of project governance and internal controls, identify root causes of risks, and promote continuous optimization of engineering management systems. Collaborate with procurement, legal, and other departments in supplier commercial negotiations, providing professional audit support to ensure compliance and cost rationality.

  • Establish and implement overseas audit processes in compliance with local laws and regulations. Coordinate among overseas project teams, external consultants, and cross‑functional domestic teams (engineering, finance, legal, etc.) to ensure smooth execution of overseas project settlement cost reductions and supplier negotiations.

  • Build and manage the audit team, establish a cost and pricing database, plan team members career development paths, and strengthen the teams practical capabilities in settlement cost reduction and supplier negotiation collaboration, improving overall professional competency and audit efficiency.

  • Identify potential fraud indicators and work with investigation teams to conduct verifications. Assist in preparing reports for senior management, and track the implementation of audit rectifications, settlement cost reductions, and supplier negotiation outcomes.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelors degree or above in Engineering Management, Auditing, Financial Management, or related disciplines. Certified Cost Engineer qualification is preferred.

  • Over 15 years of relevant work experience, with proven experience managing engineering internal audit teams in large or medium‑size corporate groups, or serving as a project leader for large‑scale projects in cost consulting firms. Familiarity with industrial projects and EPC management models is required. Demonstrated achievements in engineering audit settlement cost reductions, with successful implementation cases in large‑scale projects.

  • In‑depth knowledge of domestic and international construction pricing standards and engineering‑related laws and regulations. Experience in cross‑border projects or international team collaboration. Proven ability to provide professional audit support in supplier commercial negotiations, effectively balancing compliance requirements with cost optimization objectives.

  • Proficient in the use of engineering pricing and estimation software for drawing take‑offs and cost estimation. Strong risk‑oriented audit mindset with awareness of data‑driven and big‑data auditing approaches.

  • Strong English proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing; able to conduct project audit communications, settlement negotiations, and report writing in English.

  • Excellent cross‑cultural communication, organizational coordination, and conflict management skills. Principled, objective, and fair‑minded, with strong resilience under pressure. Willing to travel overseas as required.
