Project Coordinator / Technical Writer

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Project Coordinator / Technical Writer to support our engineering team in managing industrial automation and digitalization projects. The ideal candidate will coordinate project communications, document key discussions and decisions, and ensure smooth information flow between stakeholders across multiple plant locations. A key part of this role includes direct support to the Engineering Manager, assisting with coordination, scheduling, documentation, and follow‑up activities across multiple ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Communication
  • Attend daily and weekly project meetings with plant stakeholders, engineering teams, and vendors.
  • Take clear, structured meeting notes and distribute concise summaries and action lists to relevant team members.
  • Track progress on open actions and follow up with responsible parties to ensure timely completion.
  • Facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project deliverables and timelines.
  • Organize and maintain project files, documentation repositories, and communication records.
Technical Writing & Documentation
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining technical documentation, including specifications, reports, SOPs, manuals, and change logs.
  • Help standardize document templates, version control practices, and documentation workflows.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of documentation and communication processes within the engineering team.
Support to the Engineering Manager
  • Provide direct administrative and coordination support to the Engineering Manager.
  • Assist with meeting preparation, scheduling, reporting, and follow-ups on project tasks and deadlines.
  • Help the Engineering Manager consolidate updates from multiple workstreams and prepare internal and client‑facing documentation.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Communication, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in a project coordination or technical writing role, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, OneNote) and familiarity with project tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps, or Trello).
  • Ability to understand and summarize technical discussions clearly and concisely.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and coordinating across time zones is an asset.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with automation, industrial systems, or digital transformation projects.
  • Experience creating or maintaining engineering documentation or procedures.
  • Basic understanding of engineering workflows, change control, or technical standards.
