Job description
Key Responbilities:
  • Responsible for day-to-day success of project execution and management of the construction process
  • Study all project information and drawings to understand the design and detailing
  • Review all necessary documents required by the project e.g., building guideline, BOQ, method statement etc
  • Establishes project execution plan in conjunction with the Project Manager
  • Close monitoring of daily work activities, with schedule
  • Work closely with Designer, Quantity Surveyor and sub-contractor to ensure on-time delivery of project within budget and with good quality
  • Responsible for achieving goals of quality time and cost
  • Conduct risk management and oversee all HSE checks, reports and incidents
  • Weekly construction meeting with sub-contractor to update site progress and issue
  • Submit weekly progress report and update any site work discrepancy
Pre-Construction Stage
  • Attend Project Start-Up Meeting
  • Conduct site visit and develop construction program
  • Prepare information required schedule
  • Obtain approval of the construction program during the design brief meeting
Construction Stage
  • Site possession and agree site defects with building management
  • Prepare site establishment plan and logistics
  • Check all Method/Risk statements comply with the work scheduled and mitigating any Risks
  • Manage the day-to-day progress of works on site and resolve all trade contractor and building facility management co-ordination issues
  • Monitor and maintain progress and program. Ensures any delays are addressed and resolved immediately. Escalate any necessity for request of extension of time to the Project Manager immediately
  • Manage design information and Change Orders in conjunction
  • Ensure materials used are to spec and cross referenced to schedule and sample boards
  • Highlight and address design build ability issues with in construction drawings and shop drawings
  • Monitor quality and trade contractor performance through supervision, regular inspection and snagging
  • Conduct, document and maintain all scheduled project meetings and proper records of drawings
  • Manage the day-to-day implementation of Health, Safety Environment and liaise with the HSE Officer / Co-coordinator
Completion Stage
  • Prepare completion program with Project Director
  • Conduct final verification and quality audit for all completed trade contractor's work
  • Conduct and complete progressive final snagging and defects clearance
  • Conduct joint final inspection with client and consultant
  • Document and complete identified defects by client / consultant
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Project Management, Construction Management or related disciplines
  • Over 5 years relevant working experience in corporate offices interior fit-out works with multi-national companies exposure preferred
  • Able to read architectural and technical drawings thus translates to construction activities
  • Good knowledge of statutory and safety regulations/requirements
  • Familiar with computer software such as Microsoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project
  • Strong project planning, organizing, monitoring, supervising and controlling. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Highly independent, client oriented and team player
