A project coordinator cum safety coordinator is a role that blends two key functions: overseeing daily project activities to ensure they run smoothly, and enforcing safety regulations and protocols on a job site to ensure compliance and a safe working environment. This hybrid position involves a wide range of responsibilities, from site inspections and progress monitoring to implementing safety programs and managing project documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Project management:
Coordinate day-to-day site activities to ensure smooth project execution.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Monitor productivity and site progress to ensure timely completion of work.
Prepare site reports, progress updates, and other project documentation.
Handle project-related tasks, including helping prepare for tender submissions and managing progress claims. We mainly expect to handle the project experience.
- Safety coordination:
Enforce site safety rules and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, such as WSH (Workplace Safety and Health) standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Monitor the use and condition of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment.
Participate in safety inspections, risk assessments, and toolbox meetings.

Required skills and qualifications
- Experience: Relevant experience in managing construction sites, minimum 5 years.
- Knowledge: A strong understanding of construction methods, regulations, and safety requirements is essential.
