Arup is seeking a highly experienced Project Controls Director to lead the commercial and project controls functions for a major infrastructure programme in Singapore. This strategic role is responsible for shaping and executing commercial strategy, overseeing risk management, and ensuring compliance with both Singaporean regulatory frameworks and international aviation standards. The successful candidate will serve as a key interface between stakeholders, joint venture partners, and internal leadership, driving commercial excellence and innovation across the project lifecycle.

The Opportunity
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies including procurement, contract management, cost management, financial forecasting, and risk management. Lead commercial delivery in line with strategic, financial, and operational goals.
  • Provide leadership in cost management, scheduling, and performance tracking. Implement enterprise-grade digital controls systems tailored to aviation infrastructure delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks including claims, contract variations, and disputes. Ensure full compliance with Singaporean aviation regulations and international standards.
  • Act as the primary commercial interface with joint venture partners, contractors, and government stakeholders. Collaborate with regional and global teams to ensure consistent application of best practices.
  • Mentor commercial and controls staff, foster a high-performance culture, and support talent pipeline development. Drive continuous improvement through digital innovation and marginal gains.
